Whitesboro’s Nina Steeper is competing this week at the All-American Softball Games, in Sanford, Florida.

Steeper, an 8th grader, is the daughter of Chris and Lisa Steeper. She was selected by Softball Youth after a national application process, which included a skills video submission as well as a review of player ability, game statistics and academic standing.

Nina Steeper is a shortstop for the Mohawk Valley Vipers locally. She joins players from 8 different states on the Softball Youth “United” team in the Class of 2023 Division, which includes 9 teams. Steeper is the lone member of Team United from New York State.

The All-American Softball Games are being held at the Boombah Softball Complex just outside Orlando from January 1st thru the 5th, 2019.

The event has drawn several hundred players from around the United States, ranging in age from 7 to 15, to compete in age group specific tournament style fast pitch softball, as well as skills competitions and a home run derby.

Congratulations to Nina Steeper on reaching this nationally recognized event and best of luck as you progress in the great sport of fastpitch softball!
